Mom’s Steak Peppers Onions

When I was younger, my mother used to make us this amazing steak peppers onions, I can still feel the taste in mouth! Here’s her recipe.

You’ll Need:

1 ½ lbs of sirloin steak.
1 tbsp of pepper.
2 crushed garlic cloves.
2 tbsps of olive oil.
1 cup of sliced onions.
2 sliced bell peppers.
2 large diced tomatoes.
1 cup of beef broth.
¼ cup of water.
2 tbsps of olive oil.
2 tbsps of cornstarch.
2 tbsps of soy sauce.

How to:

First, season the steam strips with pepper and set aside.

Sautée the crushed garlic with olive oil in a large skillet for 30 seconds then mix in the steak and cook.

Mix in the onions and peppers and continue to soften to veggies.

Mix in the diced tomatoes and beef broth and simmer covered for 35 to 45 minutes.

In a bowl, mix together the water, cornstarch and soy sauce and stir into the steak and cook to thicken.


Easy, peasy and yummy! We serve this steak, peppers and onions over mashed potatoes, rice or in rolls! Give it a shot, you’ll love it!
