7 Layer Salad

I have been craving a 7-layer salad for weeks. I finally found the time to make one and it was so worth it! It’s an easy dish you can throw together in no time, but still tastes amazing. Here is my favorite recipe that includes everything from tomatoes, cucumbers, green peppers, olives, bacon bits and lots of cheese! This is just what I needed to get me through this summer heat wave. Ingredients:

2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese

1 cucumber, peeled and chopped, or more to taste

½ head lettuce, torn

2 tablespoons white vinegar

4 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and sliced

1 cup creamy salad dressing (such as Miracle Whip®)

3 cups frozen peas, thawed

12 ounces cooked crumbled bacon

½ cup white sugar

Instructions:

Layer lettuce, cucumber, peas, Cheddar cheese, and egg, respectively, in a 9×13-inch casserole dish.

Whisk creamy salad dressing, sugar, and vinegar together in a bowl until dressing is smooth; spread over the egg layer. Crumble bacon over dressing layer.
