Agar-Agar Fruit & Berry Jelly

OK, let’s see what we’ll need for our perfectly healthy dessert.

Strawberries, sliced – 1 cup
Fresh figs, sliced – ½ cup
Blueberries – ½ cup
Banana, sliced – 1 medium
Water – 1 cup
Agar-agar powder – 1tsp

Basically, you will need 2 cups of any fresh fruit/berries, plus one banana for sweetness. Since I used figs and a banana, I didn’t add any sugar – still my jelly turned out sweet. You can go with a different fruit combination and also add sugar if you prefer it sweeter.

1. Mash all fruits in a blender or a food processor until smooth.
2. Bring water mixed with the agar powder to a simmer. Cook, stirring frequently, until agar is completely dissolved.
3. Blend fruit and agar mixtures and pour the blend to the jelly moulds that you are going to serve and set it as such in the fridge (not in freezer) until serving time.

That’s it! Very easy, light and soooo yummy! The jelly can be stored in the fridge for several days – but usually it’s gone really quickly:)
