I’m a mom, and when I have time to cook, I love making recipes that my family will love. After all the recent hype about poke bowls from places like Chipotle, we decided to try our hand at making some of our own! We threw together this easy Ahi Shoyu Poke recipe with ingredients that you can find in your kitchen or local grocery store.

sea salt to taste
¼ cup chopped green onion
¼ cup soy sauce
1 pound fresh ahi steaks, cut into small cubes
2 teaspoons finely chopped toasted macadamia nuts (Optional)
1 chile pepper, seeded and diced (Optional)
2 teaspoons sesame oil
¼ cup chopped Maui onion
1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
2 teaspoons toasted sesame seeds (Optional)
Combine ahi cubes, soy sauce, Maui onion, green onion, chile pepper, sesame oil, sesame seeds, macadamia nuts, ginger, and sea salt in a large bowl.
