Bar-B-Q - Sloppy Joe Recipes

The summer heat is in full swing and with the kids out of school, it’s time to get outside and enjoy all that summer has to offer. One of my favorite things about summer is bar-b-qing! I know it will be a hot one today so we’re going to make some Barbecue Chicken with Corn on the Cob. The ingredients are simple but they always pack a flavorful punch: chicken (thighs), barbecue sauce, corn on the cob (frozen), butter or margarine, salt & pepper. It’s as easy as 1-2-3! First you melt your butter in a skillet over medium high heat then add your chicken pieces and brown them for 3 minutes each side until golden brown. Next

½ cup ketchup

1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed tomato soup

3 pounds lean ground beef

½ cup packed brown sugar

10 hamburger buns

1 (10.5 ounce) can condensed French onion soup

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef; drain fat.

Pour in tomato and French onion soups. Fill each can a quarter full with water to rinse the cans out. Pour into meat mixture. Add ketchup and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly.

Let simmer for 30 minutes. Serve on hamburger buns.
