Salmon Tikka Recipe: Ingredients 1/2 lb fresh salmon fillet 1 tablespoon vegetable oil (I like olive) 2 teaspoons fresh squeezed lemon juice (about half a lemon) 1 teaspoon garam masala (Indian spice blend; you can find it at most grocery stores nowadays) salt & pepper to taste Directions Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit Slice the salmon into bite-sized pieces Rub the salmon with oil, lemon juice, salt and pepper Toss gently in

½ pound wild Pacific salmon fillets, cut into 1-inch cubes
½ teaspoon ground turmeric
2 teaspoons ground red pepper (cayenne)
2 teaspoons cornstarch
½ cup oil for frying
½ teaspoon salt
Mix together the cayenne, turmeric, and salt in a bowl. Add the salmon to the bowl and toss to coat. Allow to sit 15 minutes.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. While the oil is heating, sprinkle the cornstarch over the salmon and again toss to coat.
Cook the salmon in the heated oil until golden brown, about 1 minute per side.
