Blueberry-Bourbon Shrub

Blueberry Bourbon Shrub

Blueberry season is here and it’s time to get your fill of this delicious, antioxidant-rich fruit. That’s why we’re sharing a blueberry-bourbon shrub recipe that will help you do just that!
Shrubs are made by adding vinegar to fresh fruit juice. You can use any kind of vinegar or even leave it out entirely for a refreshing drink with no tartness at all. Shrubs are also excellent as mixers in alcoholic drinks, which makes them especially great during the summer months when you might have friends over to enjoy some cocktails on the patio or poolside. We love using our homemade dried lavender flowers as ice cubes in our shrubs – they look so pretty floating around in the glass!
