Broccoli salad is a great side dish for any meal, and this recipe will give you some fun ideas on how to make it your own. Broccoli salad is a great source of vitamin C and fiber! It also makes a perfect lunch or snack because it can be kept in the fridge for up to four days. This recipe has been around since the seventies but several variations have been added over time that help add flavor while keeping with classic broccoli taste.
Broccoli Salad Recipe:  1 head of chopped broccoli (about 4 cups), 1/2 cup raisins, 1/2 cup sunflower seeds, 2 diced celery stalks, 3 tbsp lemon juice, 3 tbsp mayonnaise and salt & pepper to taste

2 tablespoons dry roasted sunflower seeds

¼ cup red onion, finely diced

4 cups fresh broccoli florets

¼ cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons orange juice

3 tablespoons raisins

1 tablespoon fat-free mayonnaise


Combine the broccoli, onions, raisins, and sunflower seeds.

In a small bowl, whisk the yogurt, orange juice, and mayonnaise until blended. Pour over the broccoli mixture and toss to coat.
