A delicious family treat made with spaghetti and cheese, this recipe is truly one-in-a-million. Excellent dinner choice on weekdays or weekends

Spaghetti casseroles are nice, like really nice, and there’re many variations of these delicious meals. This million dollar spaghetti casserole is one of such variations and trusts me, this one has a million dollar taste and is truly one-in-a-million. This meal is an excellent dinner main dish, and because it’s really easy to prepare, you can make this for the family on weekdays, when you’ve not got much time.

What you need

1lb uncooked spaghetti
¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
½ cup of grated Parmesan cheese
½ cup of butter, cut into chunks
8 ounces cottage cheese
8 ounces softened cream cheese
1lb ground beef
25.5 ounces organic tomato basil pasta sauce
¼ cup of heavy whipping cream
8oz of shredded or sliced mozzarella cheese

How to make

Step 1: Heat the oven to 350 degrees, and slightly grease the baking dish.
Step 2: Cook the spaghetti in a large pot. While cooking, beat the eggs, parsley and Parmesan cheese in a medium sized bowl. Drain the spaghetti when it’s done and transfer it back to the hot pot. Add the butter and egg mix to the spaghetti, tossing quickly until the spaghetti is evenly coated and the eggs form a sauce. Transfer to the baking dish.
Step 3: Add the cottage cheese and cream cheese to the pot where the spaghetti was tossed in, and mix until it combines well. Then pour the cheese mixture on the spaghetti mixture, and evenly spread it out.
Step 4: Place beef in a skillet and cook over medium heat for 5-8 minutes, till the beef turns brown. Drain the fat from the beef, then stir the beef into the pasta sauce and whipping cream. Spread this mixture over the cheese layer on the spaghetti, and then add mozzarella cheese evenly on top of the beef layer.
Step 5: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven. Leave it to bake for about 30 to 45 minutes until the cheese is melted and lightly browned on the top. Take out of the oven and leave it to cool for about 5 minutes before serving.

·Depending on how you want it, this recipe can be baked, cooled and frozen as long as it is wrapped in a foil or plastic wrap. When you are ready to serve, dissolve in the fridge overnight, remove the wrap and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 30 minutes.
·You can use chicken or turkey in place of beef if you do not fancy it.
·You can serve this recipe with fresh mozzarella and basil, if desired.
