Funeral Potatoes Recipe

The Funeral Potatoes Recipe is a traditional dish served at Mormon funerals. It’s different from regular cheesy potatoes because the cheese and butter are melted together creating a creamier consistency.
Tips and tricks for making it perfect every time?
1. Make sure that the thawed hash browns are drained well before mixing with the other ingredients. This will help to prevent the dish from becoming too watery.
2. Be careful not to overmix the ingredients; this can make the potatoes and cheese chewy instead of crispy and creamy.
3. If you want a browned top, place the dish under the broiler for a few minutes after it has baked in the oven.
4. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Serve with a personal story or anecdote about the recipe
One of my favorite comfort foods is funeral potatoes. My grandma always made them for family get-togethers, and now I make them for my own family. They’re warm, cheesy, and delicious, and always bring back memories of my grandma.
