- ½ white onion diced
- 2 teaspoon garlic freshly minced
- 1 can diced tomatoes do not drain
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½ pounds lean ground beef
- 2 tablespoon pickle relish
- 3 cups beef broth
- 2 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 8 ounces bacon cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 ounces frozen Southern Style hash browns
- 1 ½ cups cheddar cheese freshly shredded
- Salt and pepper to taste
In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, hash browns, and onion until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any fat.
Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Transfer to the slow cooker.
Add diced tomatoes, mustard, pickle relish, Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper. Stir to combine.
Pour in beef broth, cover, and cook on high for 3 hours or low for 6 hours.
Stir in cheddar cheese and heavy cream. Replace lid and cook for 1 additional hour.
Stir in bacon just before serving. Serve warm and enjoy!
