Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 10.5-ounce can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 28- or 32-ounce bag frozen tater tots
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese divided
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cook ground beef in a skillet over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper, and drain excess grease.
  • Stir in cream of mushroom soup and spread the mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle 1½ cups of cheese over the beef.
  • Arrange tater tots in an even layer on top.
  • Bake uncovered for 35-45 minutes, until tater tots are golden brown.
  • Remove from oven, sprinkle with remaining cheese, and return to the oven for 3 minutes to melt.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy!
