Ingredients
  

  • 6 oz. ¾ cup butter, room temperature
  • 3.5 oz. ½ cup superfine sugar
  • 9 oz. 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • Raw sugar or large-granulated sugar for coating, optional

Instructions
 

  • Cream Butter and SugarBeat butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  • Add FlourSift in flour and knead the dough until smooth.
  • Shape and CoatForm the dough into a rectangular prism. Roll in raw sugar, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat and SlicePreheat oven to 325°F (165°C). Slice chilled dough into squares.
  • BakePlace squares on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 20 minutes, or until edges are lightly golden.
