Ingredients
  

  • 8 small onions yellow or white
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 4 fresh thyme sprigs
  • cups heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the OvenPreheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  • Simmer the OnionsPeel and trim onions. Simmer in salted boiling water for 20 minutes until tender. Drain and let cool slightly.
  • Arrange in Baking DishCut onions in half and place cut-side down in the baking dish. Add thyme sprigs between the onions.
  • Add Cream and SeasoningPour heavy cream over the onions and sprinkle with pepper.
  • BakeBake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until bubbling and golden.
  • Garnish and ServeRemove thyme sprigs, garnish with parsley, and serve warm.
