Every home cook needs a good go-to steak marinade. One that works on all cuts, doesn’t need babysitting, and turns even the most affordable steak into something worth firing up the grill for. This is that marinade.
1½ to 2poundssteak of choiceribeye, sirloin, flank, etc.
Instructions
Make the marinade: In a blender, combine soy sauce, olive oil, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, basil, parsley, white pepper, hot pepper sauce (if using), and minced garlic. Blend on high for 30 seconds until well combined.
Marinate the steak: Place the steak in a large resealable bag or shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the steak, making sure it’s fully coated. Seal and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or up to 8 hours for best results.
Grill the steak: Preheat your grill to medium-high. Remove steak from marinade and discard any excess. Grill steak to your preferred doneness, flipping once halfway through.
Rest and serve: Let the steak rest for 5–10 minutes after grilling. Slice and serve with your favorite sides.
