Ingredients
  

Wet Ingredients

  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs beaten eggs
  • 3 medium bananas, mashed Use very ripe bananas for best flavor
  • ¼ cup orange juice Can substitute with milk or water

Dry Ingredients

  • 1 cup white sugar Adjust based on your taste
  • 2 cups flour Can use whole wheat flour for a healthier version
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Add-ins

  • 1 cup chocolate chips Can substitute with dried fruit or nuts, add walnuts or pecans for texture

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, beat together the sugar and vegetable oil until well mixed.
  • Add the beaten eggs and mashed bananas to the mixture and stir until combined.
  • Sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in another bowl.
  • Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the banana mixture, alternating with the orange juice until everything is well combined.
  • Gently fold in the chocolate chips.
  • Pour the batter into one large or two small greased and parchment-lined loaf pans.

Baking

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the pan size.
  • Check if it's done by inserting a toothpick into the center; it should come out clean.

Cooling

  • Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes before removing it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Delicious on its own, or served with butter or cream cheese. Store tightly wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze for 2-3 months. Thaw at room temperature.
