Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup dark brown sugar packed
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter cold and cubed
  • 2 large eggs room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • In a stand mixer, beat sugars and cold butter until combined. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  • Whisk flour, baking soda, and salt in a medium bowl. Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Roll ¼-cup portions of dough into balls and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 300°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • Place dough balls 3 inches apart on baking sheets. Bake for 20-22 minutes, or until edges are golden and tops are just set.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
