Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz pasta penne or rigatoni
  • 1 lb ground pork or beef
  • 1 cup sauerkraut rinsed and drained
  • 1 onion diced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 can 14 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup sharp cheddar
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Cook pasta until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic in oil. Add ground meat, cooking until browned.
  • Stir in sauerkraut, tomato paste, and crushed tomatoes. Simmer 10 minutes.
  • Layer half pasta, meat mixture, and cheese in a baking dish. Repeat.
  • Bake for 25 minutes covered, uncover, and bake for another 10 minutes.
