Ingredients
  

  • For the Cookies:
  • 1- ounce package freeze-dried strawberries
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup 2 sticks butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • For the Glaze:
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Optional 1 teaspoon strawberry powder

Instructions
 

  • Pulverize freeze-dried strawberries into a fine powder using a blender or food processor.
  • Combine strawberry powder (reserving 1 teaspoon for glaze, if desired) with flour in a medium bowl.
  • Cream butter and powdered sugar in a stand mixer until light and fluffy. Add vanilla extract.
  • Gradually mix in the strawberry-flour mixture until dough forms.
  • Chill dough in plastic wrap for 15 minutes.
  • Roll dough to ¼-inch thickness on a floured surface. Cut shapes and place on parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill cutouts for another 15 minutes.
  • Bake at 350°F for 15-17 minutes. Let cool completely.
  • Prepare glaze by mixing powdered sugar, milk, and reserved strawberry powder.
  • Drizzle or dip cookies in glaze. Decorate with extra freeze-dried strawberry crumbs if desired.
  • Let glaze set for 15 minutes before serving.
