Ingredients
  

  • 3 pounds sirloin steak cubed
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small sweet onion thinly sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic thinly sliced
  • 1 cup unsalted beef stock
  • 1 1-ounce packet au jus gravy mix
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter thinly sliced
  • Fresh parsley optional, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Toss cubed steak with salt and pepper.
  • Sear steak pieces in a skillet over medium-high heat with vegetable oil in batches. Transfer to the slow cooker.
  • Add onion and garlic to the slow cooker, tossing with the steak.
  • Pour in beef stock, sprinkle au jus mix, and top with butter slices.
  • Cover and cook on high for 3-4 hours or low for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Serve warm, garnished with parsley if desired.
